Cukierki - sweets. Portraits of my friends.
Construction site cranes. And their eyes.
Elwira, Marcin and Kasia. A series of pictures I took in my neighbourhood in the Spring 2001.
Kasia died in 2002. At the age of 22. Marcin in 2012 at the age of 32.
Elwira and Marcin posing as a couple in love in the construction site that was never accomplished. They were never a couple nor in love but they pretended so well.
Circles, stripes and concrete.
The building behind Elwi and Marcin is a hudge construction that has never been accomplished. We used it as a background for this session about lovers.
In the early Autumn 2000 the bulldozers begun to demolish small summer houses in my neighbourhood for the purpose of a road construction. These tiny wooden houses with gardens called ”działki“ in Polish were build in that area after the war. We managed to sneak into the area to check it out. I took this picture of Marcin sitting on the wooden porch in the Autumn light. All those houses were destroyed the week after.
Anna (on the left) used to own this old Skoda, called the "silver arrow" as it was painted silver. But the day came when she had to get rid of it which actually became an invitation to symbolically demolish it. On one of the first warmer days of spring we thus took the Silver arrow for the last ride through the forest while sitting on its roof. This is where the day begun, next to the General's old house transformed by the students of fine arts academy in a wonderland.
There was one man who stayed in the area that was being demolished. It was an old man who had race pigeons. He showed us his most precious birds. I do not know what happened to him.

Eli. And the trams.

My beloved trio.
Dressed up like this (the top used to be a theatre costume once), Kasia and me had a long walk on that sunny spring day. Looking into the old fashion barber shops, finding abandoned cars left on streets for years. Taking pictures here and there.
Roaming the streets of the Bielany distric on an April afternoon.
